The new nurses office at CHCH
Today we are taking a peek into the new nurses office at Cheddar Hollow Cottage Hospital. As you can see, Carmody our new interior designer did a fabulous job with turning the nurses office into a bright and cheerful place for Edam to get her office work done. The walls are wallpapered in a charming mint and white stripe paper, but the lower 1/3 of the walls are done in a whitewashed brick for some visual interest. They painted her desk in mint as well to make it more fun and a make the space feel more finished. On the back wall is a shelving unit to hold all their new patients files, and stored on top are some glass beakers, various medical books for reference and a little medical bag just for fun. Hidden in the corner is a mop and pail for tidying up.
On top of Edam's desk is a lamp, which really works! Computer monitor, keyboard and mouse and mouse pad. Then her sweet husband asked Feta, the town florist to create a beautiful floral arrangement for her desk to celebrate the opening of the new hospital. Then of course she has to have a cup of jasmine tea close at hand. She is sitting on a little office chair I found in my stash and gave it a serious makeover with some paint, fabric and trim. Carmody also added this lovely print above her desk with a stethoscope embellished with pink flowers to add just that special something extra to this space.
On the opposite wall there is a small console table with a printer, plant, candies, clipboards and a few X-rays that need to be filed. Above the table is a cork board for hanging up the work schedule, an advertisement from Feta's shop and some thank you cards from patients.
and now another introduction...this is Ricotta. She is our new nurses assistant. She is currently in nursing school but doing an apprenticeship at the hospital shadowing Nurse Edam and helping in any way she can to make everything run as smoothly as possible. Once the hospital is in full swing in a few days I am sure she will become a much needed and appreciated extra set of hands to help wherever she is needed.
Thank you for visiting and keep checking back for more updates to see what I am up to next. Now back to creating! Have a fantastic day!
