A new project!
There are some very exciting things happening in Cheddar Hollow. The construction on the new town building is complete. This new building will house several new exciting additions to the mouse community. Which means lots and lots of work for me to get these mice up and running.
On the ground level in the smaller space Feta will be opening her flower shop...called "Flowers by Feta". She is super excited and can't wait to be up and running, but a lot has to happen before she will be sharing her beautiful bouquets with the mice of Cheddar Hollow. Next door in the larger space is where Roquefort will have his gourmet food shop appropriately named "Fromage". Where he will offer a variety of delicious specialty foods. He is also very excited to announce that he has taken on an apprentice...Neufchatel. Not, that she needs much instruction. She recently graduated top of her class at Le Cordon Blue in Paris. Her specialty is pastry...Therefore she will most likely be the one making all the beautiful cakes and pastries that the mice of CH will be enjoying. I think this shop is going to be a huge success.
On the second level is where Mr. Muenster will have is "Mousessori preschool". Oh, the community is sooo very excited about this and are anxious to find out when he will be accepting applications for enrolling new students. But as you can see many, many things need to happen before he is even close to being ready for the young mice to begin. Finally, on the top floor is where Miss Velveeta will offer classes in dance. Yes, a dance school is opening as well. Velveeta is an amazing dance instructor and teaches everything from classic ballet to ballroom dancing! It will be very exciting to see which mice will be signing up for that. But I know of many little girls in town who are dying to become little ballerinas.
For those of you who may not be familiar this is the "Hearth and Hand" dollhouse from Target. Gosh, what did we all do before Target came along? Anyway, I want to give a personal review on this particular dollhouse. This is the first that I have actually purchased and built myself. I have to say I am very impressed. It is indeed all wood and very well made. It went together pretty easily even when I was miserable coming down with this awful cold. I decided to not add the stair cases because I felt like they would just get in the way and weren't really necessary for my needs. Now, to figure out a clever way to disguise the holes in the floor. But I have some options so we will just see what works best. This project will take some time as it has many, many tiny specialty pieces that need to be obtained or created so it will be a long term project, but I will share updates as things progress. It's going to be quite the adventure and I will be very, very busy! Too many ideas and not enough time as usual.
