Cheddar Hollow has a Library!

Surprise!!! I kinda wanted to catch you off guard with this new addition to CH. So, the other day I had this idea to use one of those cardboard decorative book boxes they sell at most craft shops and then make a library inside the book for the mice....So, I ran out to the shops and found the perfect box and then got to work. time to make books....soooo many books! Yes, each and every one of these little books was created one at a time by me. I have to say this was not terribly difficult just extremely time consuming, I can't even tell you how many hours I have spent on them.

I also want to introduce you to our newest member to Cheddar Hollow, meet Pecorino the Librarian. He is quite the character and I am sure everyone in town will absolutely love him. He is a wealth of information but he is also a bit disorganized. He is settling in and loving meeting the member of town who are already enjoying the warm and cozy atmosphere. Fontina was up bright and early and in the stacks looking at cookbooks to find a recipe for making the cake for Edam's baby shower. Meanwhile, Grandpa Gruyere was snuggled up in the cozy arm chair enjoying a delicious espresso.

This library was such a labor of love and it's very personalized. I have included so many of my favorite books as well as some of my kids favorites and some of my husbands as well. I have also added books that would be of interest to the townsmice and many books that remind me of my friends and family!

I have a feeling the library is going to become a very popular spot in CH and over time I hope to add more books and maybe even a children's section. But for now I am super pleased...not to mention this mouse library is in the main living area of our home.

So we can all enjoy it everyday. I have to say Cheddar Hollow is growing and as with all towns as they expand they need to find spaces for more homes as well as businesses. My little town is no different so we are expanding into other rooms and loving it. I am living my dream and now truly living in a real mouse house!
