Edam goes to the Dr.

Poor Edam like most moms to be in the early days of pregnancy she is experiencing a lot of morning sickness. Thankfully, her sweet husband Roquefort was there to comfort her and bring her crackers and ginger ale to try settle her stomach. She also had her very first visit with Dr. Asiago to make sure everything is well with baby. Nurse Ricotta was standing by with anti nausea medicine just in case. The visit went extremely well and mother and baby are both doing perfectly. According to the ultrasound photos Edam is due around the 19th-20th of this month. Yes, that's right. the gestation for a house mouse is only 20 days.

Dr. Asiago said she is right on schedule...because of the blood tests he knows the gender so he will coordinate with Fontina and Cam so they can plan the gender reveal. He has also placed a call to Carmody so she can design the nursery accordingly. So, much excitement and so little time to plan and get things done before baby arrives.

After her exam was complete she decided to go upstairs in the hospital to visit the mother/baby room. She has been in that room so many times. But this time was much different...knowing that very soon she will be there as a patient, not a nurse/mousewife and it will be her own baby she and Roquefort will be welcoming into the world.
