It's been a year.

It's so hard to believe that it's been a whole year since Edam and Roquefort tied the knot! That's right 1 whole year of wedded bliss. Last night Camembert and Fontina had them over to their house for a small dinner party to celebrate their anniversary. The couples had such a lovely time laughing and reminiscing about this special day. Of course, they also had to look through wedding photos to remind them how truly perfect their special day was. A lot has happened in the past year. They bought their first home, which gutting and remodeling has been a labor of love as well as trial and error, plus with shortages of materials and "Mouse power" their have been more delays than anticipated however, they are trying to take it all in stride with a sense of humor. They often joke that their "Money Pit" fixer upper had better be worth it in the end. I personally have all the confidence in the world that it will be lovely, and now with Carmody on the job I am hopeful that it will be in tip top shape before you know it. Edam has also been extremely busy at the new cottage hospital and Roquefort has been doing more catering than he even anticipated. Plus now with the plans coming together for his new gourmet food shop they are struggling to find time to just be newlyweds. Now, let's take a little stroll down memory lane and remember what a magical day their wedding was.

The Cheddar Hollow church looked lovely in this perfect fall day. Edam and Fontina worked so hard to created a beautiful and elegant neutral fall themed wedding with ivory and sage pumpkins and so many beautiful ivory roses....

Edam's wedding gown was perfect thanks to Fontina's amazing sewing skills. It was simple and elegant with a vintage flair which is just what she had dreamed of.

So many of their friends and family were their to love and support them on their special day.

The ceremony was lovely and King Limburger officiated.

The ceremony is over...now let's party!!!!

The reception was held at the Cheddar Hollow winery and it looked so festive.

All ready for the guests to arrive!

Cheers to the bride and groom!!!

Of course there had to be dancing in the pavillion. . .

Time to cut the cake!

Finally the day is winding down. It was beyond perfection and everyone had a lovely time. Now the happy couple are off on their honeymoon...

If you enjoyed this little walk down memory lane but would like to see more pics from their wedding you can look at their wedding album on my IG page at thismaushaus just click on "the Wedding" and sit back and enjoy the slide show.
