Ladies! Save your garbage...

First, I want to apologize for the awful lighting. It's still quite early and it's very gloomy outside so getting great pictures is kind of a challenge. However, I couldn't wait to share this one. As you all know I am busy working on my little mouse hospital. I am creating a Mother/baby room in the hospital for those mice who prefer giving birth in a hospital setting rather than at home. Anyway, I was planning to use the Maileg cot for the baby bed, but the more I thought about it the more I loved the idea of having a more traditional isolette type bed for the baby mice. I had ordered the trolly from Aizulhomey a while back and thought it would make the perfect base for the bed. But what on earth could I possibly use for the clear part of the bed???? I was wracking my brain thinking of what on Earth I could possibly use and then it hit me.

Just the other day I had received a package with more mouse treasures in it for another project and I still had the packaging. Thankfully, I hadn't taken it out yet, so I went digging in the garbage ( for real ) not the nasty garbage, but just the bag I was putting together with craft scraps in my studio. I pulled it out hoping one of the little compartments where the items I bought were nestled in would work.

PERFECTION! Thank you Pottery Barn! Check it out...Omg, it's just perfect and fits like it was meant to be in the top of the trolly. Squeal..... I trimmed it down and it's just exactly what I wanted. I then went across the hall to my sewing room and found some super soft flannel and made a tiny mattress to fit perfectly in the bed and then made a bunch of tiny receiving blankets to add to the bottom of the cart. I have tiny packages of Zuru minis diapers on the way and fingers crossed they fit right next to the blankets.

It really is all these tiny little accomplishments and successes that make me so happy. It's going to be a great day!
