The breakfast room
My inspiration board is prepared and I set to work on my mouse house breakfast room yesterday and I am very excited to share the results. I opted to go with a breakfast room because it seems much more casual and cozy than a dining room. But of course they can eat in here any time they want. I just have it set up for breakfast.
Here is the completed room. As usual there is a combination of Maileg, Aizulhomey, purchased treasures and home made pieces as well. I just love the way all these different elements come together to create these spaces. Now let's take a closer look around the room.
On the left hand side of the room I created a little breakfast buffet area. A handmade sideboard and shelf with pegs all created with my favorite paint sticks. A child's chair. Breakfast essentials and a few decorative pieces as well create a sweet little setting.
Along the back wall I added a handmade china cabinet filled with all kinds of things to looks at. Once again a curated collection of tiny bits and pieces from my favorite shops.
On this side of the room is a trolley with a coffee station with an espresso machine and other necessities as well as yummy desserts on the lower level. In the background I created a linen ladder for Edam to show off so of her pretty vintage finds.
The table is currently set for breakfast. Bowls filled with delicious granola, toast and eggs and of course a bit of cheese for both Edam and Roquefort. I have also added butter, honey and Nutella as potential choices for their toast. A pretty bouquet of flowers and some milk of course.
a closer look at the linen ladder . .
and a final pic of the room from a different angle. Overall I am pretty happy with the way this room turned out. I may tweak a few things here and there and add a little something else to the shelf above the buffet. I am just not exactly sure what it will be just yet. As always I hope you have enjoyed your visit. Next up the master bedroom. I can't wait to get started.
