The living room (part 2 )
The mouse house living room is finally complete. I have been spending the past few days tweaking and perfecting to get it just the way I imagined and now I am confident in my design and happy to share the final look. Oh, this room was pure fun to put together with so many sweet little details. I am quite pleased.
Two of my favorite pieces in the room are the the reupholstered chair and the armoire stuffed with cozy comforters and vintage linens. this whole little corner of the room just makes me smile and also makes me wish I could shrink myself down to mouse size and pop into their house and visit.
I also love how this little nook turned out. I found this miniature roll top desk on Ebay and painted it to fit the look of the room and added some other tiny treasures including a vintage metal typewriter, gramophone, cuckoo clock and this darling little vintage radio I found on of all places Poshmark! You just never know where you are going to find amazing little treasures. I also added a vase of tiny flowers, a Chinoiserie vase and a teeny basket. I think I may need to add a few more items to the desk top as it's looking rather bare. Perhaps a tiny quill pen and some stationary.
So much to take in.... here are a few more close ups.
finally, a few quick photos of Roquefort and Edam relaxing in their new home after a hard day at work.
I truly hope you have enjoyed this visit to the latest room that has been completed in the mouse house. I am anxious to get to work on the breakfast room next. So, keep a watchful eye to hear about updates on that room very soon.
