Welcome to the Cheddar Hollow Wine and Cheese Shoppe

At last, Roquefort's Cheese shop has finally opened. This project has been such a labor of love and I kinda have to admit, I am completely tickled by the way it turned out. It all started with this charming Hearth and Hand building from Target. It was originally designed to be a Book shop but I decided it would make a darling Old World Style food specialty shop. I have spent weeks and weeks curating all the tiny pieces to see it finally come to life and now I am so excited to finally share it with you!

Fontina was one of the first customers to congratulate Roquefort on his new shop this morning and she was there when the doors opened. So, let's go inside and look around...

Fontina was greeted by Roquefort and she was so impressed by what a lovely shop he has created. Ohh and the lovely smells of cheese filled the shop and it was intoxicating....especially for a mouse with a refined palette. Ohh, and all the wines!!! Camembert will be thrilled as he has become quite the connoisseur of wine lately, especially red wine! Where as Fontina prefers an occasional glass of nicely chilled white.

Roquefort had also prepared a lovely charcuterie board for his guests to sample as well as having wine for tasting..

Everything looked and smelled simply irresistible. . . now lets take a peek around the shop.

I truly hope you have enjoyed your visit to the latest addition to Cheddar Hollow. This little town is growing and as more and more new mice move into town we are sure to see more fun tiny businesses come to life.

Now, before you all ask I have to give a gigantic shout out to my new friend Fina in Spain. She is the absolutely incredible clay artist who created all these miniature cheeses and many of the wine selections. She has an Etsy shop and her tiny creations are honestly mind blowing! I cannot say enough fantastic things about her and her work. In fact, I recently contacted her and asked her to help me with another up coming project. But it's too soon to talk about it because it's just in the very early stages and in all honesty as I am learning it takes weeks, if not months to curate all the tiny pieces you need to create something as detailed as this. But treasure hunting has become a passion of mine and it's so much fun collecting and creating and finally putting it all together.

and be sure to tell her I said Hello!
