You just never know....

Yesterday afternoon my oldest son was out and about shopping up in Northern Virginia where he lives and he happened upon a cute little shop. He told me that he thought that "This place looks like they just might have Maileg!" So, of course he has to go check it out. Now, keep in mind this was a children's boutique filled with lots of toys and little kid clothing items and not exactly the type place a 23 year old guy would venture into. But he knows me well and knew if there was a chance to find mice he better go take a peek.

He ventured into this wonderland of stuff and indeed there were mice and bunnies. Because I do collect both. He snapped photos around the shop and later sent them to me. Why he didn't do it right then and there is still a mystery, but I was thrilled none the less. I carefully studied the pics by blowing them up on my computer to get the best possible view and indeed they had a very nice selection of mice and accessories but sadly nothing that I was on the hunt for. Meaning, I had everything already..shameful, I know! However, upon further examination I did spot a few items which literally made my heart skip a beat. I Immediately sent a message across the globe to my Maileg bestie, Lorinda in Australia to share in my excitement. We confirmed it was a true treasure and I "Needed It, Badly!" Sadly, when we made this discovery the shop had already closed so I will be calling the shop first thing this morning and then sending my son back to fetch him for me.

Yes, that's right a grown woman literally squealing over a stuffed bunny rabbit. But in my defense this was a rare one, and I had never seen him before. So, my squeal was 100% justified. I will be crushed if he is no longer there but he is older so if he has been sitting there this long chances are high he will still be there this morning. Fingers crossed he will be obtained and coming to live in my craft studio very soon.
